Your privacy is the foundation of everything we build.
1. Our Core Commitment
AeroxiChat is built on a zero-knowledge protocol. This means our infrastructure is architecturally designed so that we cannot access your private messages, media, or personal data — even if compelled by law. Your private conversations are encrypted on your device before transmission and can only be decrypted by the intended recipient.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is technically necessary to operate the service: your account credentials (hashed password, username), a valid email address for account recovery, and minimal session metadata (connection timestamps, approximate region for routing). We do not collect contact lists, message content, location data, or behavioral analytics.
3. Public vs. Private Content
Content you choose to make public — such as reels and public stories — is accessible to all users of the platform and may be indexed. Private messages, private stories, and any content shared only with specific users is end-to-end encrypted and inaccessible to us.
4. Data Storage & Retention
Encrypted message data is stored transiently on our servers only until delivered to the recipient. After delivery, messages are deleted from our servers. Account data is retained until you delete your account. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.
5. Third-Party Services
AeroxiChat does not sell, rent, or share your data with third-party advertisers. We do not integrate advertising SDKs into our application. We use limited infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, CDN) under strict data processing agreements, none of which have access to decrypted user content.
6. Open Source Verification
Our Android application source code is publicly available on GitHub. Any user, researcher, or third party can inspect, compile, and verify that our application behaves as described in this policy. We encourage independent security audits.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy as our product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the app and published as a GitHub release note at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
